First pics of Girona below. Plus a few from our final walk yesterday - Calella de Palafrugell to Palomas. With apologies to Palomas - a large port town with a long white beach and lovely 'old town' - and deserving of some photos. But by the time we arrived, I was exhausted and barely got the camera out in the afternoon and evening.
Anyone reading who has followed earlier blogs of our walks may recall that Domi and I have an unfortunate habit of making short days long and long days even longer. The tradition lives on! Yesterday was to have been just 10 kms but we somehow managed to add a few extra. Not usually a problem but it was a very hot day. We're not quite sure where we veered off to another path but we were suddenly not on the GR 92 or the Cami de Ronda and our new path had a couple of killer climbs. The heat makes all the difference. At the end of a long white beach, where happily we were able to sit for a while and enjoy a cold drink, we saw the GR 92 signs and were back on the right path.
Back in Girona, it's nearly 7.30 and the temperature has dropped to 31, so time to venture out again.
Hasta luego.
