En France

The French and I are back in France after five weeks travelling - mostly walking - in Spain and Portugal. Part 2 of our adventures has begun. We've had a lovely few days  - staying at our usual B&B, Villa Lariante in Le Vesinet, outside Paris. We caught up with Domi's girls and gorgeous grandchildren and yesterday we rendezvous-ed with friends Rosanne, Ross and Wendy.

We are all now in Alsace in beautiful Strasbourg, the first stop in our tour gastranomique. Just back from fabulous dinner in the famous Maison Kammerzell, in an historic building and symbol of Strasbourg dating back to 1427.

Apologies to anyone who may have been checking out this second blog looking for an update and wondering if we were lost in France! All is well. We haven't had much spare time. As well as having a busy social life - which we didn't have while walking - I had a serious mishap with my beloved little lumix happy snapper and was without a camera for a while. Note to self - beware of bottles of water not properly closed sitting in same bag with beloved little camera.

We made a mercy dash in to Paris two days ago where I had hoped - optimistically - to buy the same camera. But mine was a few years old, so I had to settle for the 'same' but a later generation. Of course it's been 'improved' in some rather annoying ways including that I'm no longer able to transfer my photos to iPad using my camera connect cable- only by wi fi, which is slow. Ugghh!!

Maybe I'll sort it out tomorrow and post some photos from the past few days.

A bientot.
