Costa Brava - Collioure, France

Enjoying a relaxing two days in Collioure after our efforts on the Stevenson Way. This picturesque coastal town is just 25 kms from the Spanish border - its Catalan heritage plain to see. To me, it feels a little more Spanish than French - we enjoyed fabulous tapas for dinner tonight.

Domi has been entertaining me with stories from his last visit here in 1980 - not  quite so relaxing. He was here for a commando course with the French military at CNEC (Centre National d'Entrainement Commando). That tradition continues, we saw some young commmandos in training yesterday. But my favourite photo is of the four 'off duty' we passed on our way to dinner tonight. They were enjoying a glacĂ© and happy to smile for my shot. I love that photo.

Tomorrow we'll take a train and bus to Cadaques in Spain. After two nights there, it may be time for a walk.
